“May you live in interesting times“
Today we undertake the second day of our traditional two day quarterly planning – so I found out the result of the EU referendum while I was sleepily making my way to breakfast with my colleagues and mentors in a rather nice hotel in Warwickshire. We tucked into eggs, toast and coffee (some of us after very little sleep – who said it would be a good idea to get up at 4am to watch the polls?) and the morning’s discussion was heavily set on one thing:
THE REFERENDUM RESULT : LEAVE
Everyone sat at the table – including our head trainer Dan Bradbury – was a successful coach, a trainer or a business expert of some description. Regardless of whether they were happy or sad about the outcome, the general feeling was unanimous: this is a perfect time to be a coach.
Think about it: interesting and uncertain times are the perfect breeding ground for coaching clients. People need guidance, certainty and stability in both their personal lives and their businesses at the best of times, but rarely do they realise it. As of this morning, they will be realising it.
If you play your cards right, your life as the owner of a coaching business may get a heck of a lot easier. Be a guiding light in a time of darkness, and let your clients flock to you.
Stay tuned, we will be upping the ante and sending out extra free coaching business development content in the coming weeks. We aim to help all of you keep your businesses not only survive, but thrive. And we plan on getting this underway with immediate effect.
We live in interesting times, let’s make the best of it.
